Hip hop leader, Level Dinero is making waves into the industry this year. Born February 22nd 1991, Devon Mcdougald began his journey in Monterey, California, living with his mother and two sisters. Being a military brat forced Devon at the age of five to move around and relocate until making his way to Georgia where at the age of 14 he discovered his love for music. By the age of 19, Devon began taking his music to the next level and took on the stage name Level Dinero. In an interview the artist spoke about his name stating that Level stood for the “the many levels there are to life” he also stated that he “came to set the bar and levels” which defines why his name is what it is. Devon feels music is life and defines being an artist as “being able to channel your life and experiences into another form” whether it be art or music. The young artist considers himself as humble and listed some of his musical influences like Tupac, Biggie Smalls and Atlanta’s very own T.I. and Young Jeezy.
Beginning his music career Level Dinero’s first show was in 2012 at Stardust in Cedartown, Ga performing hit single “Foolish” featuring rapper Young G. The musical artist has also been spotted at the National Exposure Showcase which was hosted by DJ Drama, along with appearing at The Atrium, Blue Flame and Stilettos or Atlanta. Dinero has also hosted several events including The Who’s Next at The Peach Palace in Rome, Ga in which he brought out record producer and DJ, Zaytoven. In 2013 Dinero also had the opportunity to perform live in Houston, Texas at the D Bar. One of Dinero’s latest accomplishments was releasing 2016 single “You Got It: ft. Lynn Tate and Smoove Roc which has reached over 18 thousand streams on Pandora. He has featured verses on Pope Junior’s mixtapes Makin’ Money Stayin’ free hosted by Dj Plugg and Azul Spondula. He has also released music on Street Logic 10 and Mic Scrilla Illumination. The Young 26 year old was featured in Hip Hop Weekly Magazine and did an exclusive interview in January’s edition of hiphopandhype.com. Dinero also made an appearance on Rap City Atlanta where he appeared in an interview with Interstate King James and Rick Da Host. Dinero believes that his music is his life and he is fully dedicated to it. The rapper knows where he wants to go and plans to stay independent but is still open to other options. He is currently associated with the Interstate Kings and W.T.E. Whole Team Eating.
Dinero wants the world to know he is here to stay and is heading towards mainstream media with his upcoming projects. He has plans to extend his brand Dinero Lafamilia and has the desire to bring the industry a new flavor it hasn’t had before. Dinero feels the industry stays on a straight track when it comes to music and wants to broaden that path and add more creativity and culture to the mix. He plans to provide music that his listeners can vibe and ride to while still feeding their brains with a powerful message and providing something fans can relate to. He quoted creating a “soundtrack for life”. Dinero also has plans to introduce a Youth Program he and his peers are working on this summer. He will dropping his newest project collaboration with Pope Junior late June 2017. Level Dinero sets the bar high as he reaches new levels in his music career.
